Lawyer and Professor Dr. Christoph Fiedler received his doctorate on Freedom of expression and censorship, and he published another monograph on the Freedom of expression in a networked world and publishes on questions of Media Law in the context of its digitalization and Europeanization. He participated in hearings in the German Bundestag and in the European Parliament, on the protection of sources in data retention, on Data protection Law and on network neutrality, among others.
On the so-called right to be forgotten, he advises as an expert in the meeting of the Expert Advisory Board for Google on the right to be forgotten in Berlin. In addition to the right to regulate classical and digital media, his main focus is the Copyright Law and Data Protection Law as well as questions of the Freedom of expression. Dr. Christoph Fiedler works for the VDZ Association of German Magazines Publishers and is the chairman of the Legal Committee of EMMA, the European Magazine Media Association.
