Dear Sir or Madam,
in June 2016, the people of the United Kingdom have voted in favour of their country to leave the European Union. In January 2017, British Prime Minister May has set out a 12-point plan that provides for a „hard Brexit“, rejecting an EU membership in parts or an associate membership. Thus, Great Britain is to leave the European internal market, the Customs Union and the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice. Scotland, however, sees its future as a part of the European Union. German Chancellor Angela Merkel has announced to lead realistic negotiations with no „cherry picking“ for the British willing to leave.
What does all of this mean for the national and international enterprises having their businesses connected with the United Kingdom?
Meet Ute Müller, Lawyer and partner of Duane Morris, London office, who will give us an insight into the current developments and thoughts in the UK.
