Yoko Karen Seez
Lawyer Yoko Karen Seez, b. 1972, grew up in Germany and Japan and has also studied in both countries. Her multilingual abilities (German, Japanese and English) are valued by her Japanese clients in particular, but also by German companies that have business dealings with Japan. Yoko Seez advises subsidiaries of Japanese corporations in Germany and Europe, assists with company formations and supports clients in international contract negotiations. Yoko Seez is a trained mediator. She occasionally provides support for highly personal legal topics such as family and inheritance law issues, normally with a German/Japanese connection.
Yoko Seez is also a state certified translator for legal matters and is tasked as a court interpreter for Japanese.
Studied policy management at the Keio University in Tokyo, Japan, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree. Studied law at the Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg, spent a period as a legal trainee in Mannheim and graduated for the second time in Stuttgart. In addition successful graduation as a state certified translator in legal matters (2003, Mainz) advanced training in mediation at the FernUniversität in Hagen (2012 to 2015 – distance learning). Registered lawyer since 2008.
